What people ask before they commit
What do two rotatable strips change?
Where the light comes from. The intro above names it as the detail that decides evenness, and every other tent on this shelf leaves it unstated. Two rails buckled to the inner frame and turned by hand mean a subject can be lit from above and one side, or from both sides equally — which on a glossy object is the difference between one highlight and two.
Why does an 80 cm cube need a 600D Oxford shell?
Because it is large enough to be set up near a window. The second bullet credits the outer fabric with screening the interior from unwanted sunlight, and on a box this size that is a real risk: daylight falling on one wall makes it a second light source at a different colour temperature from the strips inside.
Is it worth 60 € more than the 40 € EMART cube?
That depends on the subject and not on the light. Eight times the volume is what the money buys: the 40 cm cubes take a watch or a pair of shoes lying down, this one takes them standing up alongside their box. On colour the EMART is the more flexible fixture, being the only adjustable one here, and its index is the same 95.
