A coating sold on what it does not do

The yellow cast of other filters is named as the problem. On footage graded across shots, or a panorama stitched from several frames, a filter that tints is a filter that has to be corrected out.

Blackened edges, and no condensation

Cine Sealed does two things: it stops light entering the glass sideways, and it keeps a cold morning from fogging the filter mid-shoot.

Twenty layers, one of them at 0.2 per cent

Fewer than the thirty on the 28 € NEEWER. The figure that is specified here is the reflectance of the layer that matters most.

Seventy-seven millimetres, which is the size to own

The buying advice above says to buy for the biggest thread and step down. This is the biggest thread on the shelf.

What a hundred and two euros does not measure

Its frame. Two cheaper polarisers here publish 5.3 mm and 5.9 mm; this page claims no vignetting and gives no number.
