What people ask before they commit
Why publish an inner diameter as well as an outer one?
Because they describe different things. The outer diameter, 26 cm, is the size of the source and therefore how soft the light is. The inner diameter, 20 cm, is the aperture a phone or a lens sits behind, and it decides what will physically fit inside the ring. Only two pages on this shelf give any centimetre figure at all, and this is the one that gives both.
How does a stand become a selfie stick?
The second bullet states it without describing the mechanism — on lights of this kind the central column detaches from the tripod base and the phone holder stays fitted to it. The result is one purchase covering a stand for filming at home and a handheld pole for filming outside, which is unusual at 35 €.
Does a plastic shell matter?
For heat and longevity, a little.
