What people ask before they commit
Why does the maker recommend ironing before the first use?
Because a green screen is keyed, and a crease is a shadow. Software separating green from subject reads a creased sheet as several shades of green and leaves ragged edges where it guesses wrong. The third bullet admits the folding creases and names the iron; the second claims the fabric flattens again quickly, which is the same problem described from the other side.
Is a polyester-cotton blend better than pure polyester here?
For creasing, cotton content helps a sheet hang and flatten; for colour stability under light, polyester is the harder-wearing fibre. This shelf carries three pure polyesters, one pure cotton at 166 € and this blend at 15 €. What none of them publishes, except the 27 € Vevelux, is the weight per square metre — which is what actually decides how a cloth hangs.
What can be done with four clips and no frame?
More than it sounds. The fourth bullet describes fixing the screen directly with the clips, and a door frame, a bookshelf or a curtain rail all take clips. The limit is flatness: without tension along a pole, the sheet hangs in soft folds, and folds are exactly what a keyed background cannot have.
