Getting smooth slides

Level the slider first, then support it at both ends on two light stands or a tripod and the included feet. Move the carriage at an even speed, start and stop gently, and use a light camera and lens: the less weight on the carriage, the smoother the move.

Long manual moves

With 32 inches of travel, the SlideCam handles longer reveals and tracking moves along a table or across an interview. The bubble level on the plate helps set it straight before you roll.

Vertical use

Fotodiox says it works vertically too. Lock the carriage and support the rail firmly when it stands upright, and use the lightest camera you can.
