NEEWER X11 Prompter with Monitor review

A teleprompter with its own 9-inch screen that mirrors a script from a computer over USB-C or HDMI, so no phone or tablet is needed, for about $170.

How it works

A teleprompter puts angled beam-splitter glass in front of the lens. The camera sees through the glass while the speaker reads text reflected from a screen below it, so they look straight into the lens.

Built-in screen

A 9-inch LCD replaces the tablet.

Computer-driven

USB-C or HDMI.

Camera holder

Arca-type plate, 2 kg.
