The R50 is Canon’s compact entry to its RF mount. That matters more than the body: lenses bought now will outlast it. RF-S lenses are designed for its APS-C sensor, and full-frame RF lenses fit too.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II tracks subjects and finds faces and eyes, in stills and video. For a beginner, it removes most missed-focus shots.
