Because the face of the cloth is the part that shows, and polyester melts. A dry iron at normal temperature glazes a synthetic surface — a shine that photographs as a bright patch and cannot be undone. The fifth bullet forbids the dry iron, restricts steam to the reverse and caps it at 40 °C (104 °F), which is a conservative instruction and the most specific one on this shelf.
Gravity does the ironing. Polyester creases from the fold, and its own weight over a day pulls most of them out without heat — the same principle as hanging a shirt in a steamy bathroom. On a cloth whose iron may only touch the back at 40 °C (104 °F), this is the remedy the page is really recommending.
Neither is wrong, and both are rounded. One meter eighty is 5.9 ft and 2.8 m (9 ft) is 9.2 ft, so the first bullet rounds up and the fifth rounds to whole feet. The metric figure in the title, 1.8 by 2.8 m (9 ft), is the one to measure against — and the fifth bullet itself asks the buyer to check before ordering.
